Reel-Tite™
How Do They Work?
With Reel-Tites, a loose fence is no problem. Simply place one Reel-Tite on each wire in the middle of a 40-rod fence span (1/8 mile) to get started. You may need to shorten that distance depending on the condition of your wire. If you have a fairly new wire, you can go up to 80 rods (1/2) miles.
1. The Reel-Tite is fastened to the handle by placing the round loop on the Reel-Tite’s back into the handle's slot. Secure with a clip pin, which is included with the handle. Then, make sure the hole in the Reel-Tite is up. You've got it correct if you can see through the hole.
2. Place the barbed, rusty, smooth, or high tensile wire between the pegs. Make sure the wire is not too thick. You will see the pegs once it’s secured to the handle, and they’re sticking out from the front of the Reel-Tite.
3. Hold the wire against the Reel-Tite between the pegs and start spinning in a clockwise direction.
4. Hook the wire into one of the out-turned flange hooks outside the Reel-Tite when it achieves the correct tension. There are four hooks on the Reel-Tite and eight hooks every turn. Almost anywhere your wire gets tight, there's a hook.
5. For the bottom wire: Because the handle is free to turn, simply raise the end of the handle to complete the circle without getting into the ground.
6. Reel-Tites also make broken wire repairs swift and easy. Just splice a piece of wire at the break, secure it with a Reel-Tite two or three feet down the fence line, and wind up the slack.
7. If your wire becomes slack in the future due to expansion, contraction, weather, and other factors, then simply retighten it.

The Equalization Principle and Using Reel-Tites
A Reel-Tite in the middle of the span pulls the wire in both directions to even out the tension. A fence cannot be tight in one location and loose in another; in other words, the wire will be slack due to wind, weather, and other factors. Just reattach the handle to tighten the wire again. The equalization procedure starts over to remove the slack from the wire. As a result, your fence and wire will be maintained, and you get to save 90% of your labor.
Why Don’t Reel-Tites Break the Wire?
When you bend old or decaying wire by hand, all the strain is concentrated at the weakest point, causing the wire to break. On the other hand, the Reel-Tite allows the wire to form a gentle, controlled bend that wraps around the 3/8” round pegs. As a result, the Reel-Tite reels the wire instead of twisting it.
Earth Anchor™
The sharp point on our fence anchors makes installation easy. You can use a pipe to drill the anchor into the earth, which will keep your tent, tree, or fence in place.
Simple-to-Use Fence and Tent Anchors
We provide high-quality and long-lasting fence and tent anchors that are simple to install. Our auger-style Monroe Earth Anchors are composed of high-yield steel and are painted with orange enamel. Since 1956, we've manufactured and distributed these anchors across the US. Please let us know if you are interested in becoming a distributor of our products.
Easy Installation
The point has been honed to a razor's edge for easy installation. To drive the Monroe Earth Anchor into the earth, just put a pipe or bar into the eye. The object can be held in position with a guy rope, wire, or cable. Simply turn your fence anchor out of the ground if you want to relocate it. Our anchors are perfect for a variety of applications, including:
- Fences
- Trees
